Christian Meacham, Vice President

Gregory Christian Meacham, known as Christian, is a Lynchburg native who achieved what he calls the "Central Virginian Dream" for men: attend Liberty, join a conservative church, serve a term in the military, work in law enforcement, marry young. But his life has also included a teenage gang, an abusive and dysfunctional home, betrayal in his first marriage, chronic pain as a disabled veteran, and the loss of millions of dollars as a business owner at the hands of a vengeful business rival. These losses landed him on his mom's couch, nearly broke — and brought him into God's presence, where he experienced sonship for the first time. It shaped him into a defender of the fatherless, widows, and those in chronic poverty.

Christian owns Kinetix Health Clubs Virginia, co-hosts the GraceWorks Podcast, and is Founder and Managing Director of 434 Revival. He is married to Iryna and they have a two-year-old daughter, Milah; he's particularly passionate about unity within the body of Christ and regional revival; this is why Christian connects suburban and inner-city churches to work side by side in Lynchburg’s most desolate places.  Additionally, Chrisitan has an incredible love for the people of Ukraine and in building vibrant gospel partnerships so that more Ukrainians will become followers of Jesus Christ.

Asked what excites him most about Pursuit of More Ministries, he says: "I can't wait to see more prodigal sons and daughters experience wholeness, along with reaching more performance-driven elder brothers and sisters — and seeing both come together at the foot of the cross, then head into the broken places of our cities with resurrection power and the Holy Spirit's anointing."

Tiffany Saunders, Treasurer

Tiffany L. Saunders knows firsthand the pain of losing a loved one to addiction and has seen its consequences ripple across lives and generations.  And although she has felt the sting of rejection and judgement in years past from a former faith community, she absolutely loves her church, The Hope Company , and has experienced genuine love and built mutually edifying relationships.

A homeschool mom of four, she graduated from Liberty University in 2020 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, meanwhile running a quaint Amherst County farm.  Tiffany oversees the Welcome Ministry at her church, The Hope Company, and volunteers with World Help, Freedom 4/24, Love Heals, and The Salvation Army, with a particular heart for expecting teenage mothers and pregnancy centers.

Asked what excites her most about Pursuit of More Ministries, she says: "It's going the extra miles with those who are hurting and struggling knowing that the power of the gospel is so much stronger than the power of sin — they don't have to spiral into the vicious cycle of addiction or remain in a hopeless prison of despair, but even if they do, with God's help, I am committed to forbearing because that's precisely what my Heavenly Father does with me: He's with me in my struggles and never leaves me or forsakes me.   I can't wait to celebrate a young woman who overcame what appeared to be a hopeless situation and is now helping others do the same."

Shawn Saunders, President

Shawn H. Saunders, CFRE, M.A., has spent nearly two decades walking alongside individuals and families affected by addiction. He knows firsthand the tragic horror of losing a parent and sibling to addiction.  He also knows the shame of  religious abuse, the cruel judgment and bullying that spiritual leaders can employ, and the loneliness, confusion, and doubt that ensues as an outcast.  But he remains committed to the institution of the local church and has experienced much more love and compassion from the community of faith than harsh judgment.

He holds two master's degrees from Shepherds Theological Seminary and was certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in 2008. As a ministry leader, strategist, and  fundraising consultant, he has devoted his career to building organizations that pair effective recovery structure with a gospel-centered view of change. He co-hosts the GraceWorks Podcast, is the author of “The Asker” and a new release, “The Pursuit of More: How Addiction to Christ Makes Us Fully Human,” and has served as a fund-development consultant for DickersonBakker since 2014.

Asked what excites him most about Pursuit of More Ministries, he says: "It's co-laboring with Christ and faith communities  to restore one person and family at a time — I'm passionate about partnering with local churches so they can become centers of grace and healing. Coming alongside the woman in her forties who doesn't believe her children would miss her if she overdosed; the young father hiding an opiate habit, praying he steps into the light before his kids find him lifeless on the kitchen floor; the fearful spouse who is open to remaining married but doesn't want to spend another 20-years not feeling seen and loved, helping her church leaders see that fighting for your marriage and family is  still worth it and that God's way is still the best way and the only way.  God keeps bringing beauty from ashes, and I'm hopeful we can help others find a new beginning without first living the sad ending."
